How noisy are your trannies? I mean, when shifting, driving in any certain gears at high RPMs.... like in 3rd @ 6000 RPM (just cruising)?

I don't know if this is how all R's are but my tranny makes funny noises all the time, it is annoying..... Dealership here I come .

 

My exgirlfriend had a "noisy" tranny. Her transmission was brand new (97ITR). When I drive NON-ITR's, it seems alot quieter. I want to say ITR's are "noisy" because they dont have that extra sound deadening pad in the firewall.

 

My tranny whines in 5th gear while cruising, I wonder if thats a bad thing?

 

the ITR i drove had a whining tranny when i was in 5th cruising. i guess its normal.

btw this was a 2001 ITR will only 5k miles.

Its seems that you are having a few problems with it. Are all these problems are result of the miss shift you posted about a while back?

Sorry to hear about it. Just take it to Andy at Metro, they'll make everything better again.

 

I think its from the "misshift." But it whines in 5th gear along with everyone else, oh well... i'm just super duper paranoid! heh.
