As long as you change the springs too, you can use any shock available for the base.

cuz the springs are wound tighter on the sh i believe. and they will only fit on the stock shocks, if you have shocks AND struts made for a base, they will work on the sh.

Try NOPI online store. That's where I got my Tokico Illumina 5-way adj. for my SH.

The springs aren't wound tighter. The SH springs are slightly longer.

I am not sure what the difference between the Base and Type SH rear suspension is, but make sure you can use them before buying.

I recommend KYB AGX/GC coilover sleeve combo. Best for the money. I have TEIN Basics and I am not happy with them. Very harsh and they feel like they bottomout too easily.

A simple Koni setup is very much worth it. The front suspension on the Sh model is made for a progressive rate spring. Honda did this to compensate for the little bit of understeer that was associated with the atts unit. When buying suspension, the best way to go would be buying a complete spring/shock combo for the base model since not to many companies make a direct SH application. Or you could simply buy BB6 coilovers and call it a day.
