I put the intake valve seal on the exhaust side....and its on there tight as hell. Whats a way i can remove it without ruining it?

 

you might have to take one for the team and buy new gaskets, it may be hard to remove it without being damaged. have you started the car like this?

 

you wont get it off w/out ruining it. they are cheap good for you, buy some more.

 

you should have took my advice in the first place.

Its just 1 seal, and i have not assembled the car since. Where can i get just 1 seal

 

honda sells them.

 

Ok, whats the honda website for parts, and if anyone knows the part number for intake valve seals

EDIT: I just went and bought some from the dealership, but it would still be useful to know a honda OEM parts website

I did the same thing and took them off and put them on correctly with zero problems...

The sealing part is thick rubber so it can go on and off a couple times on the oversized stem w/o damaging it...

I mean obviously it's a risk but like I said I put like 8 of them on the wrong side and took them off and put them back on correctly... that was over 2k miles ago w/o problems.

 

expletive the damn valve keep went flying into oblivion. Now i got to try to find 1 valve keeper. luckily this place sells them down the street

Well i sure as hell down know how you did that. With big *** pliers i can BARELY get them off, and they come out looking like a garbage disposal hit them.

 

I used a set of hose pulling pliers... they're meant to grip the circumference of vacum hoses so you can break the seal easier...

They're basically the perfect tool for the job...

The key is evenly pulling up on the seal from under the metal circle.. if you pinch the metal skirt then you're essentially making it harder to pull them off... it's not very much pressure needed to pop them off their seats... but once you're pinching the ring that seats in the seat then you're locking them in.

Try prying from either side with 2 small screwdrivers... they should just pop off their seat.
