My car started making a clinking noise like keys jangling ro something...only when im accelerating..sounds like its coming from the drivers side front wheel well. i could be wrong though. i cant find anything. any ideas?

no it doesnt really increase, maybe the cat..good thing im getting a hi flow put on this weekend anyway..well see if it goes away
Have you noticed if it makes that sound at a certain rev. Have someone rev the engine while you look under the car. That might help you find the prob.

The 3500rpm rattle is the A-pipe/downpipe in most cases. Sometimes it can be a heat shield but I removed all of mine to no avail. I just got mine fixed last week, a couple holes in each side of the intermediate pipes there and a little weld and problem solved. I know a guy that just got his A-pipe replaced under warranty. If yours is a 2000 then by all means have a dealer look at it.
I had this problem before it was my heat sheild on my cat i removed it and still that damn noise but their are many heat sheilds down there so it will always happen!

This is most likely the case. Heat shields don't just bend on their own. GSR's have a tendancy in the stock exhaust manifold/downpipe to start rattling after a couple years...
I've got a 96 gsr, and everytime (3 times) I had a funny noise at around 3500 rpm it's been a heat shield, I would take it to midas and if it's a heat shield they'll usually remove it for free. I would look at that option first because it's the simplest, it could be something else but at least that way you'll know.
if its the noise that everyone else is talking about it is the a-pipe. integras have a bad tendency to do this. my friend, the same one patrick is talking about, got his replaced for free and its fixed. good luck with the problem if thats not the same noise.

dealer that there is an inner an outer pipe and when the two come in contact they rattle. Is this true and if so then the weld is to keep them stationary? Seems like an easy fix. Any replies very welcome.

PLease explain your solution further. Drill holes in each side of intermediate pipes and weld holes shut? I was told by

I remember when I got a High Flow cat after like 30 miles It started clinking around. The heatshield came loose on one side and made this cow bell sound as I accelerated and slowed down.
I would start by checking your Heatshields. If your cat goes bad then you will have a reason for upgrading to a high flow cat. GL
Another solution is to get new headers and a cat.

mine starts to rattle like crazy when it is cold around 2400 rpm's and about 3000 rpm's it stops?? i think it is my cat because i rev'd up my car and stuck my head out my door and the noise seemes like it was coming from the cat. so now that i read this thread i will try to remove the shield. is it hard to remove? is it just a piece of metal on the underside of the cat?
It is mostly likely all you guys are experiencing is the A-pipe... the problem is caused by one pipe inside another pipe that has vibrated loose and moved and now vibrates against the other you can have it fixed at a muffler shop I think its around 30-40$, or find someone that is selling an exh. manifold with A-pipe that just put a header on thier car (what I did cost $25), or just an A-pipe since thats all you need, or buy a header (what I would of done if I wasnt going turbo soon)..
