Default ES Tuning Muffler

Does anyone know if this is any good? I went across this at inlinefour and they have one that has a 2.5 inch inlet/outlet. I'm looking for a 2.5 inch catback system and i was wondering if you guys think this muffler would be a good candidate paired with a custom mandrel-bent 2.5 piping?

http://www.inlinefour.com/estunsysovun.html

Best of all, its only 100 bucks and it looks low-key. I'm not sure of how it sounds, but i don't know if it could be louder than my n1.

my friend has one on his ek. he loves it. I went with him to pick it up at jdmhondaparts. the quality is top notch. it is however, loud and deep. so you might want to consider picking up a 2.5" resonator too.

Would you say its louder than an apex n1?

Does anyone have any pictures of this on a DC2? How is fitment etc?

i was expecting you to ask about the apex n1. Here's what I think..

apex n1 = obnoxiously loud. like a hollow coffee can and using an electric sander on it.

es oval = deep and loud mostly because he doesn't have a resontor and he has 2.5" piping w/ 2.5" cat and 2.5" collector on his header. If you've heard a Greddy SP or RSR..imagine that sound only a few notches louder. Definitely not louder than any n1. But I think this is a personal opinion.

I know I have some pics somewhere on my hd. let me search and i'll post them in afew minutes

btw...fitment...it depends on how good of a job your muffler shop does. cuz there are no hangers included. the shop will have to weld them on according to how you tell them to.

Not trying to be rude but... it's just another muffler made in Taiwan same. I see no difference between Apex'i, Magnaflow, Hayame, APC. It's just a can with **** stuffed in their for sound deadning.

I like that very much

I like the way my n1 looks/sound, but i'm thinking that it may be a bottle neck for me. Not sure if its worth selling and then buying another cat-back etc.. thanks for the pics!

highly recommend the ES muffler for stock-like looks and pretty quiet sound...
also, Eastside Muffler in palmdale for mandrel bent piping and installation...

When I had my ES muffler, it wasnt quiet at all. It was loud but "clean." Maybe it was loud because I had a test pipe?

Umm...does he plan on putting a tip on that canister? It would help it out greatly in the looks department, the muffler ends way too deep under the rear bumper.

Some companies use fiberglass packing while otheruse stainless steel mesh. Check to see what kind of warranty comes witht he muffler and then make up your mind on which one is actually beter.

And some use lava rocks
