Hey, do you guys think my carbon fiber hood could last through the winter? because i dont really want to buy a stock hood just for the winter. So should i just leave my carbon fiber one on? good/bad?

 

Ive never heard of that. Why would a CF hood go bad in the winter?

And if they have a chance of doing so for some reason, I would def consider it if you live in MI.

 

i live in chicago and i had my seibon cf hood on last year and it was fine no problems

 

put a good thick coat of Meguiar's marine wax on it, and it'll be fine.

how does wax help it from the cold?

No........ Cold won't do anything to your hood. It's all the grime and road salt you have to worry about, and it will help protect against that.

You have some pretty odd notions about what's bad for clearcoat.
