Default Question on my K20?

[edited the post]

Well yeah, my new question is should I build up my K20A3 or should I just buy a JDM K20 and build that up?

Any advice? Also, what kind of cams & pistons should I use? Any dynos?

Um ... your K20A2 isn't JDM.

I'd personally wait and just buy the full swap, and sell your K20 longblock to add to the fund. It's going to be a pain to swap twice, and if you end up nickel-and-diming parts into your current K20, it'll take even LONGER to buy your "JDM" K20A2.

PS - What USDM K20 do you have, K20A3, K20Z1, K20A2?

Actually, I'm new into the K-Series business. I go around k20a.org and read around. So yeah, no need to be a jerk about the error.

I'm not quite sure on what kind. All I remember was it working, and a close friends of mines sold it to me for 800$. Hmm, I think actually I may have a k20a2?

He said he took it off his sisters DC5. Yeah, I trust the guy so I don't mind much. Knew him for quite a long time now.

Correct me if I'm wrong now. I got my friends helping me on the swap so I won't be doing this by myself because I'm still learning. Doing my research at the same time.

Not being a jerk. It's just rather common knowlege that if a motor ends with a number, it's not JDM. It's USDM/EDM. If you go look at the longblock, you can figure out what motor it is. It'd probably be a good idea to find out what it is if you'd like to install it or even sell it.

Ah, thanks for the input man. I appreciate it. I'll go look when I head over to my garage.

$800 for a K20 this guy took out of his SISTERS DC5?? i'm not gonna flame at all i just really hope you know this guy as well as you say you do. the only thing worse than buying stolen parts willingly is stealing them. anyway man good luck with the K swap. sounds like it's gonna be cool.

[edit]
Alright, I just got a call. My dad said the badge reads k20a3. Must be a base model of a RSX.
[/edit]

LOL. Your a mad man, this guy would not steal. Childhood friends man. Nobody believes me that I got it for 800$

He said he has it laying around because he swapped it for a faster motor then the k20 I have. He just got tired of having it in his garage so he just sold it to me.

Hmm, the downside would be that it has like 60k miles in it.

In your opinion, ushould I just bild up the K20A3 I have right now? Or should I purchase a JDM K20?

Well since you have it just layin there build the ************. From what i read just swap JDM pstons and cams and youll be goodi guess. Or you can go big and get aftermarket **** but that depends on your wallet. Good luck bro.

Hmm, should I just build it up? I mean, money isn't much of an issue as of now. I mean I'm not filthy rich but let's say money isn't a problem.

I heard HKS cams were nice, I just bought a HKS Hi-Power exhaust.
