WHAT is the different between usdm p30 and jdm p30
From a performance and gas mileage stand point. I dont car about bar/smog stuff.
Which is better if either. I hear that the fuel and ignition maps are different...

I believe the only p30 ecu is for the 92-95 JDM Honda Civic with B16.
Edit: Did some searching and it also comes on the Del Sol with B16.
Which B16 do you have?

Yes they are "different" Exactly how are they different, and what does it mean to gas mileage and performance

It doesnt matter which one you get the gas mileage is going to be pretty good as long as your foot isnt heavy on the pedal. As soon as you start driving it hard the gas mileage is going to drop. If the motor is USDM then get the USDM ecu if its JDM then get the JDM ecu. Thats what I would do. Get the one that was made for the motor so there is no worrying about needing to get it chipped.

if there is a difference then it will be in the fuel mapping. JDM cars are tuned to run on 98ron octane unleaded, whereas over here in the UK they are tuned to run on a lower octane - 95ron. im guessing thats going to be the same difference for you guys too
slightly different fuel maps
slightly different ign maps
UDSM has Boro sensor and injector test circuit. JDM does not.
JDM has a slightly higher VTEC point and revlimiter.
MPG is going to be really close, if any difference at all.
power... depends on your setup, too much fuel and you'll loose power. too little fuel and you'll loose power. Same with ignition.

Well is the jdm the richer or leaner and more conservative or agressive of the two?
