Default Raze R-24, will they fit my 5th Gen Lude?

Raze R-24 18" x 7.5" with 42mm offset.
From what i've researched, i've heard mixed opinions, that 18s always rub or they don't and you don't want to get any 7.5" wide wheel that has less than a 45mm offset. Can somebody please give me a legit answer. What I'm aiming to do is to buy 18" x 7.5" Raze R-24 silver wheels and put a 225/35/18 profile tire and at the same time with my Skunk2 coilovers lower the car to the point where there is no wheel gap, but the wheel/tire does not go into the fender. Will I have a problem, will I rub, etc?

+42 and 7.5" is simply asking for trouble.

Sure you might not rub while driving along a highway in a straight line, but the suspension does have to compress at times to do its job.

I used to have (still have them, off the car) a set of 7" wide +40s and I would not suggest buying some to you. I wasn't lowered then, and if I was it would have been very, very tight. They were flush with the fenders and that was just with some 205mm wide tires.

So if I wanted to go for 17s or 18s, is 45mm a good minimum offset?

Somebody please respond! I want to upgrade my wheels and I need an offset suggestion to prevent rubbing and all those other troubles! I hear people put 17s and 18s and go really low without rubbing!

I have 16" Rota Circuit 8s, 7" width, with either a +42 or +40 offset wrapped in 205/50/16 G-Force Sports and I have plenty of clearance, even though I'm dropped about 2 inches front and back. So, I would say just try to stay close to the stock overall diameter (23.9" if I remember correctly) and don't go wider then 215

EDIT: I looked this up for ya. If you get a 17x7 inch rim and go with a 215/40 or an 18x7 inch rim and go with a 215/35 you should be all set I have the tire size bolded as well as the outside diameter of the tires.

STOCK SIZE
205/55R15 88V RBL 52146 5.5 - 7.5 8.4 on 6.5 23.9 10 870 1235@44

215/40ZR17 83W RBL 83517 7 - 8.5 8.6 on 7.5 23.8 10 875 1074@44

215/35ZR18 80W RBL 90714 7 - 8.5 8.6 on 7.5 23.9 10 870 992@44

I got the specs from here if you wanna take a look for yourself

I have exactly the same setup.
18 x 7.5" +42 offset with 225/35/18

It has been tested with both Tein Type HA and Mugen Sport Suspension

The rear guards had to be rolled and that's about it. I never have any rubbing issues.
