I run GC coilovers w/ a 1.5 - 2 in drop. I have 205/50/15 street tires and 225/45/15 track tires. It can work. It will depend on how far out your upper control arm is pushed out for camber correction. Too far and the wheels will hit the fenders

I've been running 205/50-15s and 225/45-15s with 15x7" +40mm wheels on my lowered CRX for years with no problems. Keep in mind that I have no camber alterations (stock camber curve) and a lot of roll stiffness (600+ lbs-in). My car is also about 2" lower than stock ride height.

I would stick with a 195/50R15, at work I checked for alternate fitments for civics, well for mine thats the biggest you can go on 15 and thats that stock height, keep in mind when you lower depending how far, that side wall is goin to have a better chance of rubbing either the inside fender or the strut, Ive seen plenty of it. thats just my opinion.

Depends on your alignment. Mine had no issues, although I am happily back with 14s now

i've got 205/50/15's on my sedan with gsr fat five's for rims and about a 3 1/5 inch drop w/ no camber kit wheels fit fine the only problem is of course wearing out the inside of the tires faster than the middle and outside of the tires

i used ebay special coil-overs i think they were r-1 racing or something like that with some new shocks and sturts cheap advanced auto ones probally monros i had a garage do the alignment and they said they got everything close as they can but couldnt do anything for the camber without raising the car up since i had no camber kit. they didnt tell me how far anything was off or even what they set anything to

I have coilovers, had it slammed with 205 40 16's and had to raise it a bit to get the tires off the fenders on dips and turns, but it still looks respectable.

I would highly suggest going to a professional alignment shop with a quality modern rack to measure the specs. You may be able to eliminate any uneven wear without having to touch the camber.

You must have a bad offset and have been retardedly low, because 205/40-16s have an even smaller overall diameter than the stock 185/60-14 tires.

gotta love the positive reinforcement around here, I thought it looked fine, and nobody seemed to complain.

I don't know if the drop is the same with CRX's, but when I had an EG civic I went with 225 and with a 2.5 drop it was rubbing when I took turns etc. Just an idea, I would stick with 195's.

What wheel width and offset?

"Correcting" camber is usually never a good idea unless the car is drag-only.

What size wheel? What offset? What tire profile? What static camber settings? Without these specs, your anecdote is useless.

I got the skunk2 full suspension with struts and coilovers... I'm gonna set it to a 2-3 in drop and correct the camber a bit.. so I'm not eating tires... with 205/50/15s rub on that kind of setup?... with a 38 offset on enkei wheel
