hey, i just installed the 98 gsr front knuckle into my 92 civic dx hatch, and i noticed that the civic knuckle had a ring where the axle goes into the knuckle, but the gsr ones didnt have it. is it necessary to have it?????

i did the swap on my 93 hatch but i don't remember if it had that or not. Sorry man ...

 

is that an abs ring??

 

no the dx knuckle had it and it doesnt have abs, thats why i asked if i needed it.......

That just looks like a seal to me.

last time i did my ball join, i did see tha i had it on my EG2 sol. If its there, must be a reason.....It is not a seal, its a solid metal ring. Go get one at a junkyard or something.
