i just put a new tranny on and the clutch will not disengage and its a cable clutch and the cable is tight enough and every thing is lined up any ideas?

Is the release arm moving when you push in the pedal?

 

only about a quater to half of the full arms movment

 

did you rember to put that little bolt back in when you replaced the throw out bearing? did you adjust the clutch cable the right way?

This may sounds rather noobish for me but i never replaced any bearing and i never took any bolt out from the back of anything. please let me know if i should have and if possible directions on how to do it.

 

and yes clutch cable is set up fine

 

who put the clutch in? when you replace a clutch its not just the clutch disc there is also a pressure plate, throw out bearing, and pilot bearing.

 

clutch wasnt replaced its still the stock clutch.

 

someone please help me out
