TPS/bad idle
Hey, made a thread a while ago about my bad idle and CEL for TPS sensor.
well today i finally got around to calibrating my tps. It is reading .45 closed and 4.5 WOT
still throwing a code for TPS. HOWEVER, it only throws the code when i hold the throttle to the floor for 3 seconds or more.
anything else that could cause a TPS code to be thrown? i still think its the cause of my jumpy idle

this just in.
im an idiot.
i didnt have a good connection with my multimeter so i was getting false readings.
however, the STR throttle body was another problem.
turns out the skrew holes for the TPS are not in the correct spot, so i could only turn the tps down to .9v at closed throttle.
a little drilling on the tps to allow it to turn more and i got it to .48v and 4.8v, no more CEL and no more jumpy idle

my car also has a crazy idle. when its cold and i crank it it wants to rev to 2500 untill it starts to warm up then it goes from 1000 to 2000 back and forth, drives me crazy. i just recently took the fitv off and cleaned it. but that did no good. the tps reads .5 volts at idle and 4.5 at wot. i dont know what the problem is. it just started doing it recently. my other civic does the same thing but mostly when its cold weather. i have already cleaned the fitv and iacv on both cars. my tps sensors are the kind that are riveted on the tb so its impossible to take them off unless you drill them out. i had a old tps sensor laying around off an old tb and noticed it had 3 tabs coming off the back but the one that actually set inside the tab on the spring on the tb was broke. i am wondering if it would still give a reading like that on my voltmeter but not be engaging the spring correctly giving false reading to the ecu. makes me think the tabs on my tps could be broke. ANY IDEAS???? I OUT OF THEM!! HELP ME OUT IF YOU CAN. THANKS
