Default vtec starving motor?

ok guys this will be rather lengthy so bare with me please. i just finished installing a b18c jdm into 2000 civic si. it runs great, a little violent to drive but that can be dealt with. my problem is im running the si ecu (p2t 0bd2b) and because of the butterfly valve issue with the gsr motor, i just have the vacuum lines hooked up straigth to the manifold bypassing the valves themselves. the problem comes in at vtec.... it hits vtec and nothing happens really just regular acceleration and seems like loss of fuel. so with that explained... my question is the si ecu fuel map not able to run the gsr correctly and starves for fuel when vtec kicks in? or maybe is a vacuum line not hooked up correctly? im hoping to resolve this issue bext weekend when i get my jump harness and p72 but until then im really confused. sorry for the lengthy post but any help or pics would be greatly appreciated.

ECU probably, but I think it could be a wiring problem too.
