Hey I'm a newbie here so try and go easy on me. My brother has a 89 CRX Si that is pretty tired. It's eating a lot of oil. Anyway instead of a rebuild which would cost way too much I suggested a VTEC engine swap. Didn't the 91ish CRX come with a VTEC? Can I just drop one in? I don't wanna have to rewire alot of stuff. I'm looking for the easiest swap there is. Thanks for the help.

 

Easiest swap would be the ZC motor, followed by the Sohc Vtec, and then the Dohc Vtec motors.

The Dohc Vtec will not drop in without the aid of a bolt in mount kit. The other two motors will drop in with minimal work.
