Default best engien

What would you think would be a really good swap for my 1996 dx civic. Something not to hard to swap and has alot of power.

Well If you want not to hard then keep you same engine. All engine swaps are difficult. If your a begginer i would do a B-Series because you can find alot more info on it. B18c is a popular and really fast one. Or you can do a b16a which will be a big step up and cheaper then the b18c. H22-23 is more difficult and has less information out there for you to research. K series are fast and a lot more unique but require more time/effort/skill, but in turn are a lot faster. I hope this has helped you. If i mixed up a fact or two kick me in your minds.

Whatever you like, but if you really don't like sohc d series, definitely go with B series, more aftermarket support. B16 is good but will be the same as d16z6 torque wise. B18c is like a b16 from darkness to day. K series is not my taste, I rather have RPMS over torque, or be inbetween. So the choice is yours.

B16a/B17a=No torque, but good RPMs
B16B=Reasonable torque, good RPMs, same block as GSR/ITR
B18c1/B18c=Good torque, good power, has the best VTEC sound, Revs to 8200-9200 RPMs stock.
B20/Vtec/LS/Vtec=More work, really not worth the extra headache.
H22=Torquey, hard to install, but not bad swap at all.
K20=Torquey, good power, but doesn't rev as high as a B-series, due to rod/stroke, hard to install, expensive, and main focus is torque on this engine.

Not hard and a lot of power...hmmm. A Camaro would be a good swap for cheap power, as long as it had an LT1 or LS1 V8. Also a theft-recovery Corvette or GT Mustang from 98+. Let's see...

Oh wait. You meant an engine to put in the bay of your shitbox Civic about which you know nothing. That's right.

I wish. I ******* WISH that post-birth abortion was legal until the age of 18. It would solve so many problems in this country.
