I think and read too much!
Yesterday we had another HPDE, I mis-coursed all 3 runs. Now, lemme say this to get the idea out there, this was an event run by Americans (I live in Japan) but it was set-up Japaneese gymkhana style. Miscoursing was very easy.
Ok, with that...I study alot of forums, books, watch videos...ask questions...etc. etc. etc. and I think thats where I went wrong. While driving I was thinking about WAY to many things and not thinking about my car and reacting to it, let alone remebering the course.
Am I the only one something like this has happened to?

The thing you want to do is think ahead. If you are concentrating on what you are doing, and not whats coming ahead, you will always be behind. Just food for thought.
I think I'm the opposite, I think too much when I'm outside the car. To the point where it scares me to drive on a track. But when I get on the track the adrenaline takes over and I don't focus on anything but the track and what's ahead.
Walking the course multiple times helps. Being able to walk it, and then sit down and drive it in your head help once you get back out there as well.

Some of the best advice there.

We walked it a few times...but while I was driving I was always thinking about everything that I need to do to drive the course 'correctly' rather than thinking about where I need to go next....
Good advice by all though!
