I'm getting a kit, and need to know how do I go about getting them painted (those black bars on the doors) ? Do the side bars come off real easy? Or do u just mask it and have it painted? Thanks Guys

 

Take them off. You can either just yank them off from the outside, and bust all the tabs. Or you can do it the correct way by removing all the interior panels, and pinching the tabs off from the inside. Thats what I did when I took mine off, and they came off perfect. (and i didnt break any tabs)

 

I had mine painted and they left them on the car. No problems so far....

IMO, i would just paint them on the car, be sure to add some adhesion promoter to them, because ive heard that plastic isn't always the best thing for paint to stick to, although it will stick, ive just heard that adding the promoter is kinda a reassurance thing.
