Do you guys think i should pay $175 to paint my type r lip? is that a good price?

 

IMO, thats way to much.

What kind of condition is the lip in?

its Authentic CW has one crack and thats about it. i want to paint it taffeta white. what is a fair price?

 

I was in the EXACT same situation you are in, OEM CW lip, wanted to paint it tafetta white.

The Acura dealer here in town quoted me 84 dollars to paint it while my car was already in their body shope for repair. I went with it, got it back today and couldnt be happier!

What I think the original poster fails to realize is that prices at different body shops vary from state to state... heck block to block. Shop around yourself and find the best deal you can. If you still aren't satisfied with that price.. do it yourself. For that price maybe they were going to repair the crack in it.

But like i mentioned.. prices vary. Welcome to a free market.

ya that just seems like alot for something that could break/chip just by bottoming out, i paid 4.99 for my duplicolor paint and im happy with the results

 

 

How Do you Get Taffeta White???

 

i go to a guy that quotes me at $45 to paint the lip... he's the man

 

i had a buddy of mines who owns a body shop do it for about 50$ way cheaper then what most places wanted

that's a bit expensive for just a lip. maybe if he painted the bumper too. i'd say 90 bucks tops for a lip.

paint it yourself. i did it to mine only place i know that sells taffeta white in a can spray is superautobacz

 

NO WAY! I acutally bought one on here for for $170 painted!

 

doesnt macco do a whole car for 175?

i paid less to paint my whole car, and it was a color change
