Car will not start........
Hey guys, so a little while back my timing belt wore down to the point that the car just died out on me while I was driving. I replaced the belt and she will not start, I have reset the timing a few times now and nothing. There are two factors which I am wondering could be the problem, first of all one of my valve cover studs broke off so there are only 4 holding it on at the momment. The other is that I havn't bothered to put the one motor mount back on becuase I was hoping to see it run before putting on the lower timing cover. Could either of these two things stop the car from starting up? If not does anyone have any suggestions as to why she will not start up. I can smell fuel and the pump is priming properly.
Thanks for any help.
Thanks for any help.
The valve cover bolts wont keep it from starting, the motor mount shouldnt, nor that lowering timing cover. There is a ground to one of the valve cover studs, I would make sure that it gets grounded (hondas are sensitive about grounding problems). But, if you were driving the car when the belt gave out, our were driving on a slipped tooth you may have internal damage that would cause all kinds of problems.
