01 black gsr shell
hey guys, i was just wondering how much you would pay for a '01 black gsr shell with a theft recovery title? no motor, no interior. someone told me it would cost around $3000 for it but i think that's a little too much for just a shell.
depends where you live, here in cali a GSR shell worth rebuilding arent too common, i've been looking for one, i've seen a total of 3 in the past 5-6months going for over 1200 each with full interior, and each missing minor things like bumpers/headlights/panels and that kinda thing. i know theres a 4000$ gsr shell in my area that has a ITR front / no dents / new paintjob and some rims i believe.
shells do normally carry a salvage title to theft because you know.. why else would someone have the engine removed? project discontinued?
if it were because an engine was beyond repair, wouldnt it still be sitting in the engine bay?
just my 2cents

people always want too much for a shell. but if's a rolling shell (just missing the motor), i would say 2k. but that's it. i would never pay more than 2k for a rolling shell. if it's a bare shell, i say 800. lol

if the body is 100% complete and in decent shape (no major dents or scratches) then up to $2k is good. that's how much it'd cost to buy it from a salvage auction such as copart or iaai. a rolled gsr would cost you another $2-3k and you'd have a complete gsr for $5k.
