He bought a 05 hayabusa and before you guys say what is he doing getting such a bike bike for his first, put it this way we call him bubba and well a 600 would not pull him anywhere, lol. Well enough with the story here's 3 pics i snapped this morning. BTW sorry for camera phone pics.

Not going to comment on the busa being a first bike, even if he is a big dude. Power should not be a replacement for skill.

Generally I don't like the busas, but I guess it looks a little better in the red color scheme. I saw a red one on the road the other day, not bad.

Not yet, he's gonna take the msf course and I'm gonna show him the basics in an empty lot tonight, we will be practicing every other day for 2 weeks.

I'll tell you what, this bike is so smooth you cant even tell you're going fast till you look at the speedo and say, "**** I'm doing 90". I'm telling you this thing is one of the smoothest bikes i've ridin, balance is pretty good as well.

I was actually being serious. I can see how it sounds sarcastic though.

a big guy in my msf class bought a brand new '05 r1. hadnt had any prior experience either... his reasoning was something along the lines of, "well hell im in the class. ill know how to ride it when we're finished."

Get a 600 and spend the extra money on a gym membership.

Fat people on Hyabusas look even more retarded than skinny people on Hyabusas.

A 600 could pull around a heavy dude reasonably enough to get him the experience he needs to be on two wheels. His logic is seriously lacking any type of factual backing.

He has my 600 to ride around too get the basics as well as his nephews, so we already have that covered. he was gonna buy another bike just to learn last night along with the busa.

I don't think the amount of money he's throwing around is helping his case

best of luck to him.

heavy or not, thats overkill. he got it without any knowledge of how powerful a 600 is.

no offense but my bro who is 300 something rode my old cb550 that was maybe 65 hp and that moved him plenty fine. Hell I baught it from a guy who was probably mid 400 lbs so don't give me that crap oh a 600 won't fit. Now size of the bike is a lil diff but there are other good size bikes that'd work...
