Default my boy got jacked at gunpoint

this happened at jersey gardens mall in north jersey

my boy was with his cousin and other friends. he warming up his car and was outside. as soon as he was about to step into his 06 si, a green bmw with 3 black guys pulled up. the front passenger came out and pointed a gun at his face asking for the keys. without hesitation, he surrendered the keys and watched his car drive away. nobody did anything because of the gun situation. his car is pretty much stock externally besides carbon hood and exhaust. the car still didnt pop up yet but were expecting the engine and interior to be stripped and found in newark.

for those who have 06 si, beware of going to jersey gardens. you might be the next target. i myself will stop going there now especially with the xmas season coming up.

Thats some bold-*** stuff, must be hella wild over there. Over here you worry more about rats taking your car while your away from your car, not while your in it.
Least nobody got hurt.

Damn Mike, you're wild. Haha, but I am the same way ever since I got my navi jacked in philly. No heat for me though...brass knucks and the Smith and Wesson SWAT knife along with my tire iron.

I hope your friend gets a new ride. Is he looking at getting another Si or is that out of the question?

lol.. a bat, knife and heat. What are you gonna do? Shoot them, slit their throat and beat their lifeless body with the bat? Having weapons in your car is asking for trouble d00d.

I can see why they didn't do anyting because of the gun, but didn't they at least try to get the license plate #'s on the bmw when it was driving off???

Reminds me of a tv show i saw last night where a guy smashed into a bank with his truck and tried to jack an atm but failed because it was bolted down. The camera got the guys license plate and sure enough the guy was put in the slammer!

not to be a douche and call BS but i have a few questions. Why was he warming the car up and not in the car while warming it up? Also it was like 60-65 degrees last night not really cold enough to warm up. Then you said the dude asked him for the keys...well if the car was warming up why didnt he just jump in and take it...so when the guy asked for the keys did your boy go in the car take the keys out of the ignition, then hand the keys to the robber, then the robber jumped in the car started it and then drove off? I dunno just curious. I work in Newark and sometimes go there for lunch I see Si's in this area ill keep my eye out. What color is it? Also check the security cameras at the mall to see if they can get plates from the BMW...Good luck

I have a Phythom alarm system with Keyless start, so it is possible to have the car warming up when your not inside. You then would need to key to get in the car and drive away. If the door was still locked when the guy's pulled the gun, you would be fool to do anything other than hand the keys over and hold your breath.

Check the security cameras is a great idea. I would hope the local police are already doing that, as well asking for any witnesses in the area to come forward.

Unfortunately, you will probably never see the car again. I am sure it was stripped and chopped with in hours of being boosted.

Happy to hear no one was hurt. That is what is most important.

But are the crooks smart enough to know that if you have it remote started that you have to put the key in before doing anything else or the car would die? that would buy u a few more seconds to get LP numbers or call the cops? There wasnt anyone else in the parking lot that was witness to this? I have some leary thoughts too
