Default hey i need your help if u can

my 88 civic hatch is messen up it cuts of wen hit the breaks or wants to cut of can someone please help me i need it

look for a short somewhere that is "brake" related. i would start with the wiring to your tail light bulbs

i would also think that it could somehow be vacume related... maybee the brake booster is taking up too much of the vacume pessure and stalling the engine. anywho have you done any mods to anything and then this started happening or one day it just started?

no thats how i got it everthing is stock and i dont know wut it is i took it to a shop so they could check it out and theystill havent found anything and its been about a week

check your battery cables for corrosion inside. Especially in the positive one, if its corroded then it sends a corrupt signal to the ecu every time there is a change in current, like when the brakes are pushed or the turn signal or the climate control.

I had the same issue with my 91 prelude and every time I would use anything while the car was running in motion it would die. It was corrosion inside the battery cables.

hey do u think it could be the injectors cuz its an older model and has EFI cuz they changed the map sencer
