Default Preloading with ECU launch control???

Ok since I bought my slicks(1 week from today) I decided to look at the proper way of using them without damaging anything.

I understand the reving the car with the e-brake engaged at the same time having the clutch where its about engaged.......?? right??

but I see people talking about make sure the 2 step is hooked up to a button?? What does that mean and how do I do that??? get an MSD 2 step??

I think you have the basic concept there, yeah you pull the e-brake up then with the ebrake engaged you free-rev to your launching RPM and let the clutch out just enough to take the slop out of the drivetrain. That will help keep things like axles from breaking from the shock of the clutch engaging etc. . .

Now is this whats need when running slicks on a na car as well. I know when forced inducted it allows you to build boost at the tree. I also tryed the preload. Its easy.

thanx

It depends on the car and things like axles, I know of a guy who never preloaded and never broke an axle and he was running 10.6's in the 1320, but he also had some upgraded gator axles in there!! As for building boost on the line with a turbo car, you can't build boost by just having your car idling at a fixed RPM, it won't work cause your not making the turbo spool if the rpm's are not going up. Now if you have a two-step that's a different story!! LOL
