Default Resistor box with OBD-1 injectors... throwing code 16 and won't start.

My buddies car is throwing a code 16 which is causing it not to start and run. It's a 91 standard hatch with an OBD-0 LS swap. I found out yesterday that the previous owner wired OBD-1 injectors on it. It ran fine for over a year like this until my buddy dropped a valve and wiped the motor. We put another motor in the car. It still has the resistor box hooked up. In another post this guy told me that if you have a resistor box and OBD-1 injectors it can burn the ECU where it controls the injectors.

What should I do about the resistor box? Can I just unplug it from the clip or what? Should I just wire some OBD-0 injectors, I'm not trying to do that but I will if I have to. Just in case the ECU is fucked I have another one to put in the car. This car hasn't been running in over 3 monthes and any help will be greatly appreciated.

The title says it all. OBD1 injectors don't use a resitor box.

But I guess that's what droppedcrxsi told you...
