Hi guys,
The aftermarket exhaust downpipe I've got is too close to the sump, thus when I decelerate it is vibrating against it! Doesn't sound pleasant. I've searched like crazy on all the boards but I need to know what options I have.
Would it be a wise move to try and bend the downpipe so it clears the sump?
I would rather not modify the sump (i.e take a big hammer to it)
any suggestions?

good luck bending the A pipe, i ahve tried before and got nowhere with it, even heating it with an acetylene torch....
In my case i took a hammer to th pan and bumped it some where the A pipe hit, and also ground down the weld seam that was my source of the problem.
