90-91 cluster in 88-89 crx
hey guys. ive been sitting on this 90-91 si cluster for a year now to put in my 89 si crx and finally decided to do it..... i searched and cant find any info on how to do it. i know it plugs right in but the wiring/pinouts are diffrent. just seeing if anyone could help me out. ..thanks.
It wont work. 90-91 shape/wiring differs from 88-89.

it will work. you jus have to re-wire a couple wires and thats it. you will need a 90-91 cluster bezel(cover) to match the new cluster. there are articles on how to do it you jus need to search

Check the "CRX & Civic FAQ 2.0" topic near the top of the topics. There a few articles on swapping to Euro/teg gauges. I swapped my 89 CRX to the euro SiR gauges since I have a b18C1 w/ a 9.2K redline. The relevant articles are;

You should be able to piece together some of the info you need, but it will likely be incomplete. I eventully got fed up trying to find what I needed online, and just followed the circuit path on the cluster. It is really easy to follow and simply write down what light/gauge the pin goes to. I used a funny little hook-ended screw driver to press out the pins from the plug to move them around.
NOTE: Requires a cable driven speedo, and a 90+ gauge hood (bezel).
