How to "homemade groudning/earthing kit"
I got bored last night so had a go at knocking up one of these kits with some scrap I found in the garage. Let me know what you think. I was quite chuffed for 30mins work
Main attachment to battery (negative terminal)

Underside of main attachment

Wire, heatshrink and lug

Wire from old amp wiring kit

Wire, lugs, heatshrink, and main connector

Lug, heatshrink, wire nearly assembled 1

Lug, heatshrink, wire nearly assembled 2

Heatshrinked

Stock grounding locations weren't choosen arbitrarily. I never understood why people want to move them. Upgrading their size - ehh, whatever - I'll throw a 'no harm, no foul' statment on that one. But moving them -
.
.
yes, i found that out after lots of research, i thought i had the most "advanced" grounding system set up with 0/1 gauge wire grounding everything with pure gold connectors and what not....however your just creating ground loops and more interference for your sensors = VERY BAD. the more wires in your engine bay the worse,
but VERY good job on the fab bro, it looks sick and makes me wish that this setup worked.
the companys promote this kinda stuff because sometimes us people think it works, and its huge revanue, but its just some wires cluttering up the bay.
probably the best mod however is to upgrade the oem wires, AND seperate all of your harness wires so nothing is bunched togeather, and crossing it. I dont know if you have ever heard of a ribbon cable, but its flat and wide. this way none of the wires interfere with each other, this is what im gonna do instead of putting my engine harness in some looms. this way interference from one wire isnt gonna mess with another

I'm on the otherside. I got the Ebay kit and found to be just fine. I wanted to replace the ground wires anyway. So the 15 bucks went to Ebay.
I have found that it worked in my case. My headlights don't dim when I hit the brakes and the idle stays just above or at 750 all the time. I ran them to the stock locations plus the alt and throttlebody also.
The way I see it the grounding system is the whole car and a couple of wires are not going to make a difference.
And good job and a good idea!

good luck with your alternator, some kits say "do not ground alternator"
just double check your plugs from time to time now because your o2 sensor is going to be getting different readings due to a massive web of antennas under your hood.
think of this as, a bunch of plastic cups tied to a bunch of strings. (the science exprement using cups as telephones)
you just welcomed a whole **** load of magnetic noise into your engine bay.

Do you have any facts to back up your statements because I would like to see them. I have not heard of any interference issues before.
They have been my motor for as year now with no problems. O2 is normal and alt is still working. Plugs just checked three days ago and are purfect too.
