Would you buy OEM optional ITR rear caps, for the SEDAN (DB8,DB7), if they were built?

Default Would you buy OEM optional ITR rear caps, for the SEDAN (DB8,DB7), if they were built?

I'm speaking with a company now who seems to be interested in building these if there is a demand. This came up by my asking them a day or so ago if they offered the OEM optional ITR caps for the Sedan, which they do not.

After some correspondences, they are curious (as am I) if there is any potential for this product to sell.

Heres what I"m talking about in case your confused. (Thanks to boszyen for the sweet ITR pic that I snagged from the ITR forum)

Please, only vote if your serious as I will probably present this to the company. And, I know it's a dumb thing to ask for, but please, no flaming . If you view, vote!!

Nope. The caps that go on the rear bumper.. They were optional on the ITR, as were the sideskirts.

I voted yes, even though i own a coupe. IMO i don't think it would look bad on a 4dr.

Thanks. Obviosuly, I don't think it would look bad. And, I've decided that even if they dont build em, I'm gonna buy a set and just cut/lengthen them and fit them to the sedan bumper. It can't be too freakin hard to fiberglass something like that.

there is already a company that makes them, check ebay they sell the sides and rear. It doesn't look right on the 4dr in my opinion.

umm the rear valences fit on the DB7 and DB8. the bottom half of the bumpers are the same for DC and DB.

Look at the top of this page.

If they are the same, why does every single seller for Acura parts say they won't fit?

And PM on that front bumper in your Sig

DUDE DO YOU WORK AT ACURA?

they did not nor did they ever offer the rear valances for the 4dr integra.

if they did... prove it to me...

no part number even shows up on the parts catalog for a 4dr only the 2dr.

check it.. I searched and searched though the pics of the DB8's and ITR's.. trying to find a pic of each at the correct angle and the same angle so I could compare the rear bumpers to see if there are any difference.

some pics they look the same (as far as length) others looked like the sedan was bigger.

SO...
tomorrow, I"m gonna measure from a point on my bumper and I'm gonna find a 2 door in town and measure it and we'll find out for 100% if it'll fit or not.

Personally, the sedans bumper looks longer to me and I dont think they will. I'll update tomorrow and letcha know.

Why does everybody and their mother assume that the "OEM Optional Kit" was just an option for the Type R. That kit was only an option for the 2dr 98-01 DC. This topic has been covered many a time here. There was never a 4dr kit either although there are 4dr variations floating around on Ebay like posted above. Stop saying it is a Type R kit because it creates confusion for the noobs and then they will start to ask questions about it and the flame wars begin right after.

Well, I found a 2 dr Integra and compared the rear bumpers. As it has already been stated, and I figured from looking at pics, the 4 door is longer. Approx 3-3 1/2".

So, that link to the Acura page is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG.

Rear valences wouldn't look right on them. I dont think it would anyway.
But they look good on a 2 door.
