95 Accord issues Quest. need answer.
hey guys i just got a 95 accord ex sohc(vtec).
and basically im runing into some problems with it so i have couple question i hope someone can answer me.
1. when i drive at about 50-70 the steering wheel shakes not that bad but it strong enough for you to notice that it's shaking. so my question is can it be because of my axel is getting too old or worn out? or is there some other problems i need to do to fix it.
2. My speedometer sometime works and sometime it doesnt work. it's very weird when it doesnt work the mileage bar dont work as well, and when it doesnt function the mph needle but fall down to 20mph and sit there. Also i notice when im parkin at a red light and bout to go the needle would budge a little bit up and down then went back to 20mph
3. this is the most enoying thing about the car, i bought this car for main winter purpose use. anyway, im not sure if it's the power steering belt or altenator belt, but when ever i drive it gets SO Squeaky to a point where it's so enoying. Everytime i give a little gas, the belt would squeaks like no tomorrow. i thought the belt is on too tight so i tried loosen it up a little bit, but that did fix the problem, i tried putting a little lub. on it that didnt work neither. One thing i notice also is that most of the cold days it squeaks louder, and very frequently, but on warm day it does squeaks but not as frequently as cold day. anyone know what should i do on that? i just want to open the hood and cut that p.o.s belt cause it so enoying.
4. When driving on high way, if i would brake a little my steering wheel shakes even more, i also notice during the braking time, if i take my hand off the steering wheel the car would automatic start steering itself to the right, the harder i brake the harder it steers into the right. im not sure if this is cause my the rotors, i think i might need to resurface the rotors.. but then agian im not sure. so i need you guys help on this.
well that's the 4 major thing about my car, very not happy that i bought it but hey look at the bright side i bought this for 1200 and it has 125k actual milage on it. pretty good price a winter beater.

Go get your rotors resurfaced. That's what's causing the vibrations during braking.
Balance your tires. That's causing shaking at speeds.
Get an alignment. Might fix the pulling during braking. If not, then you have bent suspension pieces.

1) Tire balance or bad tire.
2) Possibly the vehicle speed sensor on the trans. (not sure)
3) Bad bearing in the alternator dragging the belt? (replace the belt first)
4) Sounds like warped rotors and lack of general brake maintenance.
