This is a stupid question but im havin trouble...I want to take my 3rd brake light out but i dont realli know how too. I think u take the plastic off of the hatch on the inside. The plastic is giving me a hard time and i dont want to crack it or anything.

 

You have to unplug it from underneath the plastic thing. There is a nut or two holding it down. Un bolt those and it should come off. Are you just looking to take the bulb out or take the whole thing out?

 

The whole thing. I thought thats how u did it but the plastic **** wuldnt come out so easy n i didnt want to brake it or crack it

 

Why do you want to remove the 3rd brake light?

Well, it's an important safety feature and is required by law in many states, so I'd suggest leaving it on. You may not like it, but you'll probably like being involved in a rear-end collision even less.
