I am working on my car and trying to find out why my temp gauge isnt working my car is a 97 GSR and i went from OBD2 down to OBD1 but the under hood harness is OBD2 and i cant seem to find out what the hell is wrong i went thru my manual and it says to ground the yellow/green wire from the ECT switch but the only colors on the plug are a green and black wire ..PLEASE HELP..

did you try grounding the green/black wire.

 

Scratch that...

I found the yellow green wire. It was plugged into ECT on the passenger side of the head. Am I ******* with the right thing? Im having problems being positive if this IS the ECT.

WHAT TO DO NOW???

 

OK... wait a sec....

Does anyone have a pic of where or what exactly the ECT is?

It would suck to find out I am ******* with the wrong thing.

 

Ok i located everything i needed now does anyone know how to test the stock gauge to see if its any good..
