Wouldn't pillar gauges block the side airbags?

you would be better buying three and buy a EGT gauge while you at it and if you use Blitz DCII you can window mount the gauges

Doesn't AJP make gauge mount that goes in the area to the right of the 12v outlet?

i'm mounting mine on the dash in the middle..the curve around the speedo facing towards me

i got 3 autometer guages with autometer pedastol mounts

right now that is my only solution for mounting guages without fiberglassing/molding

they have an A-pillar mount on ebay but i prefer not getting guages in my face if the airbags go off

yes they do...they made me this one... nice gloss black plexi cut perfectly.

i've since changed the bezels to the silver ones to match the car better yes the aem gauges come with 2 bezels(black and silver) and 3 faces(black, silver and white).

i like this a lot better....i've had about 3 people call me a liar and tell me i don't have a turbo cuz the gauges couldn't be seen. till i pointed it out out of the way and doesn't grab attention.

wouldn't putting the gauges on the pillar hinder the airbags? should one get into an accident..that's gauges rushing at ur face when that thing pops??? or does the air bag only come out the upper part(like roof area) and not from the windshield part?

anyway here is what they did for me.

Last I checked they were redesigning the pod? Got any inside info? I REALLY want a guage pod like you have pictured, because pillar guages are kind of crap and my blind spot is bad enough during mountain runs, I don't need a guage in my face too.

Let me know!

I hate to drag this up from the depths of time, but I am having a hell of a time creating a custom mount for gauges. Can someone tell me (link if possible), where I might find a 3 gauge pillar mount, or better, find the fibergrass shrouds (the ones being used to mount gauges on the dash), in the pictures below.

This shroud in particular:

Thanks

What do you all think of this set-up?

This is specifically for the 06 - 07 Civic SI

Do you want to retain your side curtain airbag?

Not really. Hell, I have been driving for 32 years and never had side curtain airbags before ("testimony of an old fart").

I will check with my mechanics and am still working on a custom setup. At least with this pod, if I don't use it as is, I can hack it up for the custom console I am "trying" create.
