i wouldnt say "kill"

it might cause you to lose a few hp as compared to straight exhaust, but you probably wont even feel it on the butt dyno.

they are still an unrestricted design muffler, the exhaust just does an "S" curve inside of it. the turns will slow gasses down some, but not horribly bad

Ha, for that price you could just cut it off if it pisses you off

I've had that on my car for 3.5 years but with the 2.5" in and out ( I beleive the internals are the same on the 2.5 and the 3). It was the first exhaust i ever made. It was really quiet with a resonator and cat, but now the resonator is totally burned out, but I do still have a cat. $20, not bad for making under 300 i would say.

It did start rattling a few months ago but it has never seemed to hurt the small amounts of power I have been making on my various turbo setups. I make 304whp right now but I think a lot of the exhaust is going out the 1.75" dump tube. Heres a graph, seems to flow fine for now but i cant stand the rattle

for 20 bucks, Id give it a shot. Worst comes to worst, you could always pickup a cutout so you have the option of quiet or obnoxious exhaust

i don't take chances with **** like that. come on, its cheaper than one mandrel bent pipe. its probably paper thin too and could fall apart or rust away at any time.

expletive that, i could cut the ends off some beer cans and build an muffler that would sound better than that.

i just mean you get what you pay for. there was probably no engineering put into the design of it and the tone it would produce.

with 500 hp he'll probably blow the end off of it and have the straight through design he should have gotten to begin with.

i ran the Dynomax Super Turbo muffler(same concept) on my ride and loved it. nice and quiet, stock looking, but didnt inhibit flow. on decel the car would pop because of lack of backpressure, so flow was not an issue

bud of mine ran the same mufler on his turbo GSR, had the same thoughts as i did with it

And?

Will he be any worse for wear if that happened? And judging by some of the responses on here it doesn't sound like a bad buy

Spray that thing with some flat black charcoal grill paint and I'd rock it.
