need guidance
hey guys...sorry for being a noob and posting this, but i dont' really have anyone with car wisdom that i could ask questions or ask for guidance. this is going to be my first turbo set-up so i'm looking to boost fairly low and i'm also looking for a cheap kit for now. as i learn more and more, i was going to upgrade the engine internals/turbo. does this kit on ebay look legit? the price looks nice but i was wondering if this was worth buying. thanks alot.
stay away from ebay kits...peice together your own...you can get a log mani from blox, inlinepro, or have some of the popular sponsors here make you one...they are reasonably priced....gt28 should be fine, depending on how much power you wanting to make...but search for other peoples setups...there are many on here...again stay away from ebay kits!
EBAY KITS ARE ABSOLOUTE GARBAGE!
quality is quality no matter what way you cut it, cheap parts are cheap parts you cant expect a 200 dollar turbo to last you long or actually function correcly.
there are alot of things to take into consideration. cheap turbos have cheap seals.
cheap wastegates can surge
cheap bov can also surge
cheap is a dangerous thing when it comes to turbos,
you can buy the kit but dont expect it to last long at all

i forgot to mention that the turbo kit i saw was not a generic ebay brand turbo. it was a used turbonetics one. does this change anything? the guy said he was parting out the turbo so he could re-sell his car.
