Default from d16y8 to d16z6 in crx questions

Hi, I just bought a 1990 CRX Si with a running OBD1 d16y8 swap. The problem is that the motor smokes (blue) like a mother and burns a half a quart every 100 miles (if you baby it.) The plugs are oily. I am pretty sure its the rings, so the engine needs to be rebuilt.

I found a d16z6 for sale for 400 dollars from a shop near my house. I want to put the z6 in my CRX, and was wondering what I needed to take off the y8 and put on the z6 for it to run right.

I was thinking about the

distributor
clutch
intake mani
exhaust mani
different sensors?

Could i just take the block, oil pan, head, and valve cover of the z6, and bolt everything (dizzy intake/exhaust mani clutch flywheel tranny) from the y8 on? Will the clutch and flywheel work with the si tranny i'll be using?

Yes.Just change out the block and head. If it was running good before then replace only whats bad. The clutch/flywheel will bolt onto the z6 just as did with the y8.

Its already obd1 so I assumed that its prolly already using a z6 distributor. The y8 is the better manifold.
