is this a d15b vtec? and a p28 is an ecu that comes from a 92-95 ex. Its pretty much the same motor as the d15b vtec.
So just look for a 5 speed ecu out of an ex 92-95... P28 is the code

The P28 will run rich, when I chipped my P28 I got better gas mileage, less smoke, and the engine seemed a bit smoother. In all honestly, either work fine.

i have a jdm d15b and a d16z6
d15b is quicker but smokes alittle and i get better gas millage out of the d16z6
i am running p28's on both but they are different
the p28 on my d16 is a p28-a02 came stock in my si
p28-a01 on my d15 out of a 94 ex

both cars cars run better and quicker on the p28-a01

should i just chip the p28 on my d15 or look for a p06
and if anyone wants to trade a p06 for a p28 i would love to
thank you
will

P28 comes in 92-95 civics that are si/ex. P08 come in JDM swaps like the JDM D15B. The P06 comes in 92-95 Civic DX.

the only differance in the p08 and p28 is the o2 heater, and a little more timing on the p08 maps.

no need to swap ecu's to get some more timing, the advance is the same, so just add some base timing to bring the whole curve up, and then you have the same maps as a P08 w/ an o2 heater.

p06 is the stock ECU unless your talking about the d15b vtec I believe that was the p08.

P06 is the stock ecu for obd1 DX non vtec models. P08 is stock for JDM d15b vtec models.
