Finally sat in an s2k and I want one...badly.
I finally got to sit in a s2k last night...im amazed and i havent even drivin it yet it was too late for a test drive so he said come back on wed and were gonna take it for a spin. My question is how much is this thing gonna cost me in insurance and monthly payments? I make about 1300$ a month u think thatll cut it?? Oh the car is a 2001 red s2k with 3k miles and they want 27.9k. Thanks
no rent I live at home disposible income is 100% I could prolly save up 10k before i actually bought it (down payment).
you will get raped.
1300 a month...
even if no tax, all useable....
you will have a nice looking s2k, but no cash to mod it with and be able to live off of.
not to mention it will probably be a 60 month finance with like 15% intrest

sorry bro but makin 1300 a month is nothing...thats like 15 k a year and your trying to get a s2k.......stay in your league until u get older...i mean just the insurance yearly will make ure salary down to lik 9 k a year
you know insurance premuims just went up about 8-10% across the board in jersey this year.
though you're on your parents plan, the cost to insure an s2000 is more then a civic in new jersey.
$1300/month isn't much.
even if you had a down payment of 10g's in cash, you're looking at another $20g's after taxes, fees, etc. $20g's in 5 years equals to about $4000 a year. add interest to that and your payment is going to be well over $400 per month for just the car. that won't include the insurance which will cost you probably $2g's per year at least with no record. you don't leave yourself much room for error. meaning, if you lose your job, have more bills one month or the next.
it'd be a risky investment for you a this point especially since you don't even have the down payment saved up yet.

Yeah dude, either save up some more $ for a downpayment because the car payment, insurance, and regular maintenance will eat all of your money up. I make $4000 a month and I think the payments are a little much for my income.
The person at my school with a S2000 is a chick.
Dudes that think women are inferior =
Women driving an S2k = turns me on bigtime. Especially if they're young and purdy..
Including my trade in I put $20k down. Bought the car at MSRP plus a few dealer added options. I financed approximately ~$15k for 60 months at 5.75% APR. My monthly payments are $286/month. My insurance was barely impacted. Appoximately $5 more a month compared to my 2000 Honda Civic Si.
Use this website to figure out how much your montly payments will be. Don't forget to add TTL to your purchase price.

I'm getting ready to buy an S2000 for 26k and I make pretty good money. I would probably wait if I were you, plus you can get a damn nice GSR for a lot less money, like 12k less. Gives you a little room to go on dates.
Quick question. I'm in a 1999 GSR, insurance going to be quite a bit more or no?

$1300 a month is NOTHING. You are obviously supported by M&D (mom and dad) Industries. I though 1300/month was a lot too; then I did **** for myself and moved out. I make around 350 in payments for car and insurance and even that is a bit much. I can only imagine a $30k car.
