Ive got a 06 civic LX with an automatic tranny....does anyone kno of where i could find a header, or some other mods to give me a hp boost? Ive only installed a fujita F5 CAI...and thats about it...i need some help

 

Use the search function please! There's several threads right below this one that discuss headers and other bolt-ons for the LX (R18A1).

As an overview for those threads, the answer is: Not many aftermarket bolt-ons are available.

trust me i wish i could trade my LX for the Si!! it would be about the same price if i were to just drop the K20 thats in the Si into the LX. But either way its not cheap! ohh....well i can dream! haha

 

but, as someone has said many a times before, the SI has more than just the engine... 6sp tranny, lsd, better suspension, stiffer chassis, and more.

the header for the lx is not really a header, but more like a down pipe, the header is a solid block which i think can't be replaced, the "headers" they sell claim to have HP gain, but poeple have been disapointed in the results.. UNFORTUNATELY we all can't get an Si, thats why im trading mine in for an S2000 ill be getting it next friday. then im gonna keep raggin on Si's on how they are slow and cant beat me.... just how the Si owners keep stating the obvious "Si vs R18 Si FTW!" == "F20 vs K20 with DBW"= pwned

 

I really dont think that K20 has a chance compared to the F20...so the F20 v.s K20 is a laughing matter

 

thats what im saying! but we cant go through a simple thread (about R18 headders) without someone saying "Get an Si."

 

Just ignore them. There's a reason for owning a DX/LX/EX and a reason for owning a Si. I've got an Si becuase of my income, where I live, and the other varying factors. If I still lived in Cali, I would have gotten an EX and been very happy with it.

I hope mods for the r18 come out soon for all of you.

F20 huh? So I'm guessing you're getting a used s2000?
