Mugen exhaust JASMA badge
my mugen exhaust has a jasma badge on the canaster ifself. Thats who makes the exhaust if I'm correct. Well I was looking a JDMhondaparts and came across this:
now how come that has a different badge then mine. Is it because its for a civic S1 or what??? Do I have the same exhaust, what gives here?

as far as i know, JASMA is like CARB OE here.....its kinda like their emission badge. cause i had an APEX'I 4-1 headers before and it also had a JASMA (with nuimbers)
JASMA is not the brand name.
JASMA is not the brand name.
My tanabe header that I purchased in Japan also has a Jasma badge on it. The ones that they sell in the US has the Jasma badge replaced by a carb-eo number plate.
From what my friends told me, exhaust or exhaust manifolds without the Jasma badge on them are illegal for the streets of japan.
The Carb-eo number covers a much wider variety of parts other than exhaust components

JASMA is like a carb
its just lets you pass the exhaust test.
I think... if it comes with the JASMA thing, its imported directly from Japan, if not, then i guess its made for the USA.
but not all exhausts have jasma...
and even if you didnt, its still ok.

Mine has the JASMA sticker on the canister as well. I don't recall seeing that mugen stamp on mine...then again, I don't look at my exhaust much.
JASMA approved exhausts comply with noise regulations (98dB max) not emmissions. My mugen exhaust has a mugen badge and jasma stamped on the underside of the cannister and also stamped on the pipework
If its for the civic si then it makes sense, cuz they dont have coupes in japan so theres no need to get the JASMA label...
specifically made for coupes=no use in japan.

My Mugen Twin-loop has the JASMA stamp as well, which is their version of our CARB as people have stated. They are found in products such as exhaust and headers sold in JAPAN, well at least the ones that are approved.
