Default Help pls.. Clutch Cylinder..

I just replaced my clutch master cylinder internals last month. Today my clutch pedal was stuck halfway upon releasing it. I had to use my foot to lift it up. I happened about 5 times. Is my clutch slave cylinder gone now? Or the master cylinder was badly repaired? Can the spring at the clutch pedal be the cause?

Internals? I didn't know they were repairable.

I would try rebleeding it before taking anything else off to see if there's air in the line. However, it is recommended that you replace the slave/release cylinder when doing the master. I think they're only around $70 anyhow.

good luck,
Matt

Okay problem fixed. Turns out the rubber hose connecting two metal hydraulic pipes was leaking at one end. Got it replaced. Thanks for advise.

Cool.

Sometimes it's hard to get those threads to catch because the lines are so hard to move around.

It turned out to be the crimp at the hose end. Not the thread. My mech tells me its due to the racing clutch installed. It causes the pressure in the system to be higher and causing the weaker points to fail. The rubber hose being one of them. He recommends changing out the section where the hose starts to the slave cylinder to a steel braided hose.
