Is installing the B18C5 the same as the B18C1?

yes its the same thing

 

only other problem you might encounter is that if it's a jdm type r motor (which i dont think it is because you said c5) is that on the jdm type r's the axles are bigger and the stock hubs will not work.

 

wiring is a little different on the C1, you will not need to wire IAB/Secondary Butterflies in the IM.

 

imnot sure on the hubs, but wiring is just a tiny different
