Default Doing LS Turbo

Ok, So im in the process of ripping out my SOHC Motor, out of my 1992 Red Honda civic Hatchback...Im putting in a B18B, with 47,000, new cams,and new clutch..Now if i want to run over 8lbs of boost with the turbo i get,do i need to reinforce the motor,if so how much does it cost.If anyone has any idea, or past expeirence please tell me lol

you can run slightly higher boost on an LS because the compression is failry low as long as you have all the fuel management and the a good tune. if you plan on running rediculous amounts of boost then obviously get forged pistons and rods.

8psi on a good une will get you some good hp numbers... if it is a daily driver, i wouldnt go past 12psi...

If you're only pushing 8psi you don't need any sleeves or piston just make sure you get it TUNED or else it runs like crap you''ll end up blowing something. Oh yeah boosted ls is fun.
