i got handy stands and they work great. $100 and you get front and rear stands together.
i believe it's http://www.handyindustries.com

But, the pitbull front stand that uses a pin is really really nice for working on the bike. Although some bikes require a little fairing removal in order to get the pin up in there.
My friend's mille required taking off the side fairings, v-cowl, and some other misc. stuff in order to get the stand on.

Pitbull...all the way.
I have the Newfront and SSS Rear stand for my bike.
Given how much new plastic costs, cheaping out on a rickety stand seems like a bad idea. Just make sure you get something good and reliable....like a Pitbull....heh

nothing but pit bull. thick pipes and actually looks like it can hold a bike steady w/o having it tip over with the slightest movement.

I'm actually selling a set similar to the Redline Stands. I bought them for $100 2 years ago for my GSX-R, i'll let them go for $75 shipped to Cali. I'll try and get pics up if you're interested.
