Default Bosch Icon windshield wipers....

are the absolute best windshield wipers on the face of the planet, hands down. They look pretty neat too. That is all.

These are popular among the VW crowd, due in part to the fact that they somewhat resemble the "aero wipers" found on certain models (which themselves are a popular though somewhat expensive upgrade). The reviews I've read seem positive, but have yet to try one on my wiper because I'm not certain if the blade will allow enough curvature to conform to my windshield when parked.

Ive always been under the impression that PIAA makes the best (and quite possibly the most expensive) wipers, not bosch

(of course all this is open to arguement, seeing how this is flame central anyway Just voicing my thoughts)

I personally would trust Bosch over PIAA any day of the week, but that's just me.

At AutoZone, it's $41 for an 18" blade and a 22" blade for an Integra.

Expensive yes, but I'm telling you all these are by far the best blades I've ever used, even better than the Micro Edge Excel blades I used to use, which I used to hold as the best, but stopped using them when they stopped selling refills for them.

The most amazing thing about these wipers to me is that they are pretty much silent during operation. You can't even hear the blade flipping back and forth as the wiper arms change direction.

They do not make a frame-less style blade like these, as far as I know, I didn't see them on their website.

I believe these Bosch wipers are similar if not the same as what comes on the new Civics and also some of the new BMW's.

$40 is a hell of a lot of money to spend on just wipers, especially for people who live in an area where it basically doesnt rain.

While it might not rain much here in california, i really appreciate having good wipers when i need them-- on top of that, alot of the more expensive wipers are made from compounds that do not harden as easily, so they last much much longer, even when exposed to as much sunlight as we get.

The reason i support the PIAAs over bosch is the grade of material they are made of, getting PIAAs for $40 per blade would be a steal!

Then again, when is the last time norco even saw a cloud? =| Made of water mind you, not straight smog

Huh? PIAA blades cost from $15-$20 per blade, depending on type and length. They're actually a few bucks cheaper on the Tire Rack than the Bosch wipers were from AutoZone.

I have a pair of PIAA Super Sporza blades on my 91 CB7. They're freakin awesome. I heard that the Bosch blades are good too.

Got my PIAA wipers from tirerack. Best blades I've ever had. Can't speak for the Bosch though. You can also get refill blades for the PIAAs cheaper than buying the entire arm.

they look interesting, and a good alternative to the ugly ones with all the pivoting brackets

We get snow/ice around here maybe once a year, other than that it just rains to no end during the winter.

But since there is no metal frame with a ton of joints and the attachment to the wiper arm is completely covered with a plastic shield, I would suspect they work pretty well in freezing conditions.

Anyone from the New England area want to comment on these? I know when it snows.. then melts.. then the temps dip down again... my blades get frozen to my windshield..

You basically have to hit ur blades to break the ice from underneath them.. Then when you pick up the wipers, all u see is ice attached to everything...

Then you got the wipers wiping off salt and rocks all day long during the winter months. Does anyone know how well the compounds withstand this abuse? 41 dollars is a lot for wipers, it would really suck if they get messed up through one winter.

i never tryed them on the ice as i said, but i dont think that eny wipers made to break off ice from windshield. use ice scraper or turn on heat on ur windshiel then use wipers when it melts a little
