I believe that's the Canadian import of the SI.

ummm no, the sr-v (v standing for vtec) is the canadian version of the 4th gen prelude vtec in the states (h22).... The SR is the SI in the states (H23)

sr is the prelude model with triangle lights in the back.. But the SR has a h23.

SR-V is the model with the triangle lights, but this time has a h22 vtec engine.

Thats the best kinda lude you could get in the New World.

Think heated seats, and mirrors, and all the rust you could ever want.

just for the record. i have a black 96 SR-V and it was bought brand new in ATL, ga and has never left GA...i know what i have and it is a USDM 96 vtec model. it has no heated seats/mirrors.

Its just a vtec 4th gen with lots of accesories (cd changer, lthr, etc)

SO PLEASE DONT THINK SRV MEANS CANADA.

93-95 preludes that came stock with the 2.2 vtec are called SI VTEC

96 prelude vtec is called SRV

yes canada does have srv but its quite different than ours.

Makes sense to me. A 5th gen isn't going to be an SR-V. The SR is 4th gen only

Hmmm, never heard of a US model being an SR or SRV... All the US models as far as I knew (that had the H22) just had a vtec sticker on the back... Does yours actually say SRV on the back? and it doesnt have atleast heated seats? All the US vtec models had leather seats and cd changer, it was standard, but of course no heated seats .

P.S. 93-94 were called SI VTEC, 95-96 were just VTEC.

I'm talking about how he reffered to the 4th gen as the car with triangle tail lights. Thats funny.

Well to go back to your original question, its quite simple... the SRV model regardless if its a canadian model or US model, it has the H22 vtec engine in it.

WoW, This is really screwed up.

S(not to be confused with the Type-S), Si, VTEC are the only US models. PERIOD!!!

Si-VTEC wasnt 93-94...It was 92-93!

The SR-V might be similar to the Si-VTEC US model. It is NOT USDM though!

I've never heard of that, and I've owned my 95 SR-V for over 2 years. I'm thinking you may be mistaken, but then you used ALL CAPS so it has to be true.

The H22 didnt even come over to the US until the 93 model year, 92 models did not come with an H22... The SI-VTEC turned into just VTEC, but I guess I cant say with 100% certainty which year it started in... 95 for sure but possibly in 94 cause I know they made a couple changes going from 93 to 94 model year.

My god, SRV's in canda came out in 93-96. They had the h22a1 vtec and all had full options, leather everything, the only difference was that 93 had a small centerconsole and no rear console. The best kind. I hate all those sick consoles. They came with the jdm style ones. Take it from me and ^ we both live in alberta canada and both own srvs
