When your oil pump is bad, does or can it make like a chattering/sputtering/clicking sound. I've searched and read up on a few things but doesnt mention anything about sounds you would here. and if so, anyone with a nice fresh ITR oil pump they wanna sell?

 

and if i replaced it, would i have to also replace the oil pickup?

you need item 2 and 4. and could take a visuel check of the strainer before buying a new one

get an aftermarket oil press gauge

if thats the case and you suspect its the problem why not just replace it? cheap item relative to a new motor..

youre actually very lucky to have picked it up since most oil pumps just "go" (dead)

 

yea i know, i will be replacing it today, will letcha know how it goes, but still, a noise? haha juss wanting to know
