Default Tein Basic Coilover vs GC/Koni

I've been thinking of changing my suspension system but I've been debating between the 2. Its a DD car. They are about the same price and I'm really confused on what to get. I have a 01 civic and I heard (I dont know if its true) that seperate coilovers and springs has a bouncier ride compared if I get a full suspension kit. I want to drop my car about 2.5"/f 1.5"/r. Thanks in advance.

bouncier ride depends on the damper and its valving and what spring rates you are running and not necessarily the kit itself.

i would reccomend the koni/gc combo over the tein basics, but some of the pricier teins do have something to offer.

So does GC a better spring rate than the tein? Cause I've been looking aroung and GC/Koni cost about $1100 and I could get the tein basic for $900. So if GC/koni is really way better then I guess the $200 is worth it but if its not that much of a difference when it comes to daily driving then...

you can get koni/gc for less than $1000 with any spring rate you'd want. the springs are made by eibach, a very respectable make of springs used in many forms and classes of automotive racing.

What would be the ideal spring rate so it wont be bouncy. I know we all have our preference but I just need an estemate... Thanks again...

I havent found any place. Not even online. The lowest I've seen online was $1000 but im not sure if they would charge tax or not.

the off the shelf rates are great for daily driving. 380F and 250 rear.

I myself and runngin 450F and 400R with no issue but it is a lot fimer than stock.

I'd say just stick with the shelf rates. The sponsor section has somene selling the koni/gc for less than $1000 i think last i checked.
