Default Break into the 14.s

maybe this has been asked before maybe it hasnt.

what mods will break a 5th gen SH into the 14s that dont involve anything to the block or head or weight reduction.

besides intake, headers, exhaust and intake manifold..

Rocket fuel?

You'll probably need to replace a piston, or four, when your done though.

Or you could do like the Harley Davidson guys do in the bike world and just run 1/8 miles. That way you can brag about your 10 second car....

I have a 9 sec car then.

I would say suspension, driver, and tires. slicks might get you in as it is.

stock 5th gens are knocking on 14second-doors. you just need to practice.
my H23 w/ I/H/E clutch and fw is 15.194, so you should be right around there.

with bolt ons (ihe) and good tires. A decent driver should be mid 14's.
But if its your first time at the track dont expect too much as you will probably be in the 15s.
Just work on lowering your times, not running 14.xxx. every track is different and depends on conditions.
Base your success on improvement

I believe He was just replying to the last person who posted.

as for the h23 running a 14.6 that is absolutely amazing but I like it.

I used to run a 14.3 at 98 with my h22 with a 2.35 60 foot. I knew I could do better with a lower 60.

Now I have the same motor in a 95 instead of the 92. I also have 50k more miles on it. But I can't beat a 14.90. And I don't know why.
